These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QC Home & Business Project Pros website at qchomeandbusinessprojectpros.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What we do

QC Home & Business Project Pros is a Quad Cities service that connects homeowners and property owners with independent local service professionals ("Pros"). We are a coordination and matching service. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform repair, construction, or other home-service work ourselves.

Independent Pros

Pros are independent businesses, not our employees, agents, or partners. We aim to feature experienced, locally reviewed Pros, but we do not guarantee any Pro's work, licensing, insurance, qualifications, pricing, scheduling, or availability. You are responsible for evaluating a Pro and for verifying licensing and insurance where appropriate. Any agreement for work is solely between you and the Pro, and any dispute over that work is between you and the Pro.

Requests, quotes, and payment

Submitting a request through QC Home & Business Project Pros is free. Pricing for any work is set by the Pro and provided to you as a quote, which you can review before any work begins. The Site does not process payments for the work; payment arrangements are made between you and the Pro.

The chat assistant

The Site offers an AI chat assistant for general information only. Its responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete, and they are not professional advice. Do not rely on the chat assistant for emergencies — if you have a dangerous situation such as a gas leak, electrical hazard, or fire, contact 911 or your utility's emergency line first.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site. You will not use it for any unlawful purpose, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, scrape or harvest data from it through automated means, or submit false, misleading, or infringing information.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, and design — are owned by QC Home & Business Project Pros or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive license to use the Site for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the Site without our permission.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites, including our application and Pros' own sites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of those third parties.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QC Home & Business Project Pros will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the Site or your dealings with any Pro. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QC Home & Business Project Pros from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with a Pro.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Iowa.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
